Parade of the Comics

PARADE OF THE COMICS is a coloring book published in 1966 by the Newspaper Comics Council, using the artwork of 33 member/cartoonists. It's fun to see early Neal Adams, beautiful Milton Caniff drawings, Wizard of Id and B.C., and other strips from their prime--or decline as the case might be. There will be more of these posted in the future, but for right now Hairy Green Eyeball has his Crayola crayons in his hairy green fist, ready to fill in the lines!

Its surprising to see how "busy" some of those coloring page selections actually are.

They must have thought alot of the kids who would be buying the book had fine art coloring talents.
