A recent showing of a1966 Hammer Film, THE REPTILE, reminded me of this top-notch comics adaptation from the April, 1978 magazine, HOUSE OF HORROR #19.
Illustrations are by Brian Lewis, and the script is by Steve Moore.
It was this issue that I discovered the late, great Brian Lewis, who was a fantastic artist. While I've always enjoyed his painted covers, it's his comics work that really gets me, in particular his scratchy ink line technique.
ah, simply beautiful! such a shame he was lost to us. I remember, in particular, his adaptations of The Quatermass Xperiment and The Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires, both of which are as brilliantly realised as this. top notch posting there, fella!

Please post more Brian Lewis, if possible.
I really enjoy the postings.
I, on the other hand, had never heard of him before seeing this story.
I do remember the movie and think that this is a vary cool adaptation of same.
