You're a teenager, Charlie Brown
Charles Schulz, simultaneous with his Peanuts comic strips, was in the 1950s doing one-page cartoons about young Christians. In itself that doesn't seem strange because Schulz was a churchgoing person. Considering how familiar the Peanuts characters are, though, these elongated teenagers seem startling, almost like Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Sally and the rest grown up. These cartoons are from the book YOUNG PILLARS, ©1958 Warner Press, Inc.
