Howard Nostrand knew Jack!

What I like about Howard Nostrand's work is that he was able to take the best two EC Comics artists, Wally Wood and Jack Davis, and blend them into one style. Of the Jack Davis imitators, Nostrand did the best interpretation of Davis's style. The first story here, "A Tale Of Cain," is from TOMB OF TERROR #12, November 1953. It's done as straight Davis. The next two stories, "Ivan's Woe" from WITCHES TALES #23, February 1953, and "V is for Wampire" from FLIP #1, shown in the form of its original art, mix both Wood and Davis's techniques.
