Such a Day it was!

Chon Day was one of the great magazine gag cartoonists. He had a perfect style for instant reading. A few days ago I showed some of his earlier cartoons from the early 1930s HULLABALOO magazine. These are from the 1940s COLLIER'S. They are reprinted in the book, I MEET SUCH PEOPLE by Gurney Williams ©1946 Farrar, Strauss and Company, Inc. Day died in 2000.

    Thanks for Chon Day. He's one of the greats and deserves his won slipcased leatherbound collection.
